Basketball Game Preview: Eagle Grove Eagles vs. Lake Mills Bulldogs

Eagle Grove is 0-10 against Lake Mills since December of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Eagle Grove Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Lake Mills Bulldogs at 7:45 p.m.

Eagle Grove came up short against Bishop Garrigan on Friday, falling 57-36. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, Lake Mills was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwood-Kensett on Saturday, taking the game 61-50.

This is the second loss in a row for Eagle Grove and nudges their season record down to 7-11. As for Lake Mills, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Eagle Grove couldn't quite finish off Lake Mills in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 59-57. Can Eagle Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
