Soccer Game Preview: Tolleson vs. Shadow Ridge

The Tolleson Wolverines will face off against the Shadow Ridge Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tolleson's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Friday, Tolleson had just enough and edged Basha out 2-1. That's two games straight that the Wolverines have won by just one goal.

Aden Ramirez was the driving force of Tolleson's attack as he scored both of Tolleson's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge kept a clean sheet against O'Connor on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Eagles are ranked 70th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tolleson's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Shadow Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5-2.

Tolleson came up short against Shadow Ridge when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Tolleson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
