Softball Recap: Crook County Has No Trouble Against Madras

Crook County got themselves on the board against Madras on Wednesday, but Madras never followed suit. They blew past the White Buffaloes 17-0. The result was nothing new for the Cowboys, who have now won seven matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Chloe McKenzie, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Kya Mozingo was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI.

Crook County's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Madras, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Coming up, Crook County will head out to square off against Gladstone at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Gladiators' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Cowboys' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Madras, they will host Estacada at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
