            Baseball Preview: Boyertown Bears vs. Methacton Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            The Boyertown Bears will face off against the Methacton Warriors at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Both come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Boyertown took a loss when they played away from home  on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Friday. They never let Daniel Boone get on the board and left with  a   5-0  win. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Christian Tonini tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Nick Ellis, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in both of his plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Methacton was able to grind out a solid  win over Perkiomen Valley on Wednesday, taking the game  5-0. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  victory against them.
 Boyertown's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Methacton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
 Boyertown suffered a grim  7-1 defeat to Methacton  when the teams last played  back in May of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
