Baseball Recap: Denton Comes Up Short

Denton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 6-1 to the Colleyville Heritage Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-7 last Tuesday.

Denton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12-2. As for Colleyville Heritage, they now have a winning record of 10-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Denton will face off against Argyle at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Colleyville Heritage, they will venture away from home to challenge Timber Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.6, the Falcons 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
