Basketball Game Preview: Jerome Tigers vs. Canyon Ridge Riverhawks

Jerome and Canyon Ridge are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The Jerome Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Canyon Ridge Riverhawks at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Thursday, Jerome came up short against Minico and fell 65-53.

Meanwhile, Canyon Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highland.

Jerome will have to contain Mason Hill as he made an impact in Canyon Ridge's last game. He dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Hill is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Kade McEntire was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Jerome has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Canyon Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
