Baseball Recap: Jennings County Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Jennings County and Bedford North Lawrence, and Bedford North Lawrence kept the tradition alive. The Panthers took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stars on Wednesday. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Stars from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Jennings County has also been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Bedford North Lawrence, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Coming up, Jennings County will challenge Columbus East at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bedford North Lawrence, they will take on Jeffersonville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Stars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
