Recap: Percy Julian Phoenix vs. JAG Jaguars
The Percy Julian Phoenix's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a rough 73-50 defeat at the hands of JAG. While losing is never fun, Percy Julian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while JAG is ranked 13th).
JaMicah Adair continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for JAG, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Adair pulled down eight or more rebounds. Ladarius Givan was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Percy Julian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for JAG, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Percy Julian will square off against Prattville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for JAG, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Enterprise at 7:00 p.m.
