Baseball Recap: Palmer Ridge's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Palmer Ridge was forced to take a big loss against they on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 13-10 victory over the Discovery Canyon Thunder. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Cole Richert, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Beckett Goss, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Palmer Ridge's record now sits at 4-15. As for Discovery Canyon, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-5 record.

Coming up, Palmer Ridge will venture away from home to take on Rampart at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Discovery Canyon, they will challenge Denver South at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
