Baseball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maricopa Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Tuesday.

Mountain View saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Kintner, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Ayden Stott also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Maricopa, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

Coming up, Mountain View will head out on the road to square off against Tucson High Magnet School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Badgers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Maricopa, they will be playing at home against Catalina Foothills at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
