Scottsdale Preparatory Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Red Rock 18-6. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy got a massive performance out of Brendan MacLean, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases MacLean has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Sehaj Malhi, who went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Scottsdale Preparatory Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Camp Verde lost 11-3 to Phoenix Christian on Friday. The Cowboys have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
