Volleyball Recap: Enochs Takes a Loss

Enochs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Merced Bears. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Enochs took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 23-25, 16-25, 25-16, 15-11.

Enochs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Merced, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Enochs will take on Golden Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Merced, they will square off against McNair at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Merced has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
