Volleyball Preview: Woodland Beavers vs. Black Hills Wolves
Woodland is 3-0 against Black Hills since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Woodland Beavers will venture away from home to square off against the Black Hills Wolves at 6:00 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Woodland didn't have quite enough to beat Washougal and fell 3-2.
Woodland took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 21-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-12.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Black Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past WF West 3-0 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolves as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
One reason for the win was Black Hills' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-12, 25-7.
Black Hills got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Madi Malone out in front who had 16 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Oralia Mike, who had four digs and 15 assists.
Woodland has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Black Hills, their record now sits at 5-13.
