Volleyball Recap: Clear Lake's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Clear Lake couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to the Regis Ramblers on Saturday. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their 17-game winning streak.

Their offense was headlined by Natalie Jarchow and Abby Tibbetts, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Ayla Monson and her ten assists. Addie Kobernick controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Among those leading the charge was Olivia Haselwander, who had 11 digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

Clear Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 30-9. As for Regis, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 23 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-9 record this season.

Clear Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Regis, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Montello on the 6th.
