Football Recap: Rainier Beach Vikings vs. Lincoln Abes
Rainier Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 33-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Abes. The Vikings lost against the Abes in their previous head to head back in November of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 56-6 score last time.
Maurice Gosby Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lincoln, rushing for 137 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 36 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards Gosby Jr has posted since back in November of 2023. Sione Kaho also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Rainier Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Lincoln, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
