There's no place like home for Liberty, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-41 win over the Minarets Mustangs on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won nine in a row.

Leading Liberty to victory were Hurley Ogan and Isaac Nolasco. Ogan went 5 of 12 to rack up 16 points, while Nolasco went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points and five rebounds. What's more, Ogan also posted a 42% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Joseph Tarrant was another key player, putting up seven points.

Minarets' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Davis, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 15 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Michael Naylor, who posted 11 points.

The win got Liberty back to even at 12-12. As for Minarets, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

Liberty has already played their next match, a 63-33 victory against Yosemite on the 4th. As for Minarets, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 83-50 loss against Chowchilla on the 4th.
