Baseball Game Preview: Susquehanna Valley Sabers vs. Oneonta Yellowjackets

For the second straight game, Susquehanna Valley will face off against Oneonta. The Sabers will venture away from home to take on the Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, Susquehanna Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Oneonta and fell 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Sabers in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost eight in a row.

Colin Trotter put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Oneonta pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Susquehanna Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
