After flying high against Foothill last Friday, Fairfield came back down to earth. The Falcons took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sacramento Dragons on Friday. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Fairfield lost, don't look at Tristen Smith. Despite the final result, he threw for 146 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 63 yards.

Sacramento found their leader in sophomore Cordell Radcliffe, who rushed for 187 yards and a pair of scores. Radcliffe also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Dragons are 4-2 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Fairfield now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Sacramento, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Fairfield has already played their next matchup (against Armijo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Sacramento, they will take on River City at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
