Volleyball Recap: Savannah Arts Academy Takes a Loss

Savannah Arts Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of The Habersham School Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in August.

Savannah Arts Academy actually scored more points across those three sets (60-58), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Charlotte Browne paced Savannah Arts Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Browne got some help from Ellie Ayala and her six assists. Maggie Allen controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Savannah Arts Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-25. As for The Habersham School, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-9 record this season.

Savannah Arts Academy will welcome Savannah Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Habersham School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
