Football Recap: Desert View's Undefeated Season over After 12 Games + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Desert View can now relate to. They fell 38-28 to Canyon View on Friday. The game marked Desert View's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Desert View saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jaylee Abraham rushed for 179 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 74 receiving yards and one TD. Abraham's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 116 rushing yards.

Brady Scott had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 99 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 94 yards and one TD for Canyon View. What's more, Scott posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Dj Sims Jr. helped out on the ground, rushing for 92 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Desert View fell to 11-1. As for Canyon View, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Desert View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canyon View, they will venture away from home to challenge ALA - Gilbert North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 13.3 points per game this season, so the Jaguars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
