Basketball Recap: Emmitt Myles' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wallace over Kellogg

After flying high against Kootenai last Thursday, Wallace came back down to earth. The Wallace Miners came up short against the Kellogg Wildcats on Monday, falling 55-34. The game marked the Miners' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Wallace lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Emmitt Myles, who posted seven points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Myles a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Henry Larson, who had six points and eight boards.

With the defeat, Wallace broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-5. As for Kellogg, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

Wallace has already played their next contest (against Coeur du Christ Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kellogg will host St. Maries at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kellogg has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 175 points over their last three matches.
