Recap: Kelly Walsh Trojans vs. East Thunderbirds
The Kelly Walsh Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 48-38 to East. Kelly Walsh has not had much luck with East recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Kelly Walsh's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lillian Hudson, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. The game was Hudson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Hailey Larson, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Kelly Walsh bumped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for East, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Kelly Walsh and Sheridan will face off at 3:30 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Sheridan is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for East, they will head out on the road to face off against Rock River at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
