Simpson Academy won the last time they faced Stringer and things went their way on Saturday too. The Simpson Academy Cougars blew past the Stringer Red Devils 10-1. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.

Simpson Academy let Chase Adcock and Benjamin Kennedy run wild. Adcock went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI, while Kennedy scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Kennedy has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Barrett McKenney, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

The victory got Simpson Academy back to even at 5-5. As for Stringer, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Simpson Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Stringer: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
