Leo entered their tilt with Loyola Academy on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged the Loyola Academy Ramblers out 69-66. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Lions' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Ramblers are ranked 43rd).

Leo's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Loyola Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leo will venture away from home to challenge Chicago Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loyola Academy, they will face off against St. Rita at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Loyola Academy is facing St. Rita at the right time seeing as St. Rita is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
