Windham proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bloomfield Cardinals, sneaking past 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Bombers in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won six in a row.

Windham was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 15-25, 25-13, 15-13.

Brielle Jones paced Windham's offense, picking up 13 kills. Jones got some help from Kyleigh Simpson and her seven assists. Simpson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 11 aces.

Bloomfield's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aniyla Doll, who had 14 digs and seven aces. Another player making a difference was Peyton Koon, who had 11 digs, seven kills, four aces, and two blocks.

Windham picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Bloomfield, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Windham didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Lordstown on the 4th. As for Bloomfield, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Bristol on the 3rd.
