Softball Recap: Falkville Takes a Loss

Falkville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the West Morgan Rebels, falling 7-0. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Falkville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Slayton, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Peyton Holloway also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Falkville's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for West Morgan, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-18-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Falkville will welcome Tanner at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils are facing the Rattlers at the right time seeing as the Rattlers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for West Morgan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Good Hope at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
