            Football Recap: Florence Eagles vs. Cleveland Central Wolves        
        
		
        
        
            There's no place like home for Florence, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  two weeks ago. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cleveland Central Wolves on Friday, sneaking past  21-18. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Eagles have posted  since October 4, 2024.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Florence to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Kayne Ashley, who rushed for 40 yards and one  touchdown, and also threw for 76 yards and one  TD. 80 of those passing yards were hauled in by Morgan Weathersby, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
 Cleveland Central's loss  came despite strong showings from  Kyle Mitchell and  Christopher Watkins.  Mitchell rushed for 92 yards, while  Watkins threw for 182 yards and one  TD on only 15 passes. Mitchell's longest rush was for an impressive 68 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Florence's win was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 3-4. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 28.5 points over those games. As for Cleveland Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
 Florence wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  matchup,  a  34-28  loss against Lanier on the 24th. As for Cleveland Central, they have also already played their next game,  a  34-10  win against Vicksburg on the 24th.
