Football Recap: Florence Eagles vs. Cleveland Central Wolves
There's no place like home for Florence, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 21-18 win over the Cleveland Central Wolves on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since October 4, 2024.
Florence's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayne Ashley, who rushed for 40 yards and one score, and also threw for 76 yards and one TD. 80 of those passing yards were hauled in by Morgan Weathersby, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
