Rockingham County extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Luke Strittmatter. The Cougars claimed a resounding 44-12 win over the Morehead Panthers with plenty of help from Strittmatter, who threw for 166 yards and three TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 35 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His passing game has become a key predictor of Rockingham County's success: the team is 5-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Rockingham County now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Morehead, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
