Basketball Recap: Plainfield Central Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Plainfield Central challenged Oswego on Tuesday. The Wildcats were dealt a 73-45 defeat at the hands of the Panthers. The Wildcats have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Plainfield Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Oswego, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

Coming up, Plainfield Central will host Dixon at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will be up against the Dukes & Duchesses' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Oswego, they will face off against Bolingbrook at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
