Jones and Lejeune are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2018, but not for long. The Jones Trojans will head out to square off against the Lejeune Devil Pups at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jones has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 9.

Jones is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Southside on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Jones took a blow against Southside, falling 79-46. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.

Meanwhile, Lejeune hadn't done well against East Carteret recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Lejeune was the clear victor by a 62-39 margin over East Carteret. The Devil Pups have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Lejeune is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points over those games. As for Jones, their loss dropped their record down to 1-19.

Jones took a serious blow against Lejeune when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 64-19. Can Jones avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
