Softball Recap: Hope's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hope took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Wave had just enough and edged out the Knights 14-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Wave have posted since April 25, 2024.

The win (which was Hope's third in a row) raised their record to 9-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Central, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.

Coming up, Hope will head out on the road to take on Cranston East at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thunderbolts' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Blue Wave's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
