Baseball Recap: Vanoss Drops Highest Score of Season Against Wynnewood

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vanoss). They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Wynnewood Savages on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Kanon Bradley made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Vanoss is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 6-12 otherwise. Bradley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Cole Reeder was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Cooper Treat, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Vanoss' win ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-13. As for Wynnewood, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

The future could be bright for both Vanoss and Wynnewood: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Wolves will try to hand Pauls Valley their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wynnewood will look to extend Healdton's nine-game losing streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
