Volleyball Recap: Bell Comes Up Short

Bell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the V.R. Eaton Eagles. If the Blue Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bell was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-16, 25-20.

V.R. Eaton was led to victory by Ariana Gomez and Callie Gardner. Gomez had 18 assists and four digs, while Gardner had 14 digs and one assist. Gomez has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last seven times she's played.

Bell now has a losing record of 6-7. As for V.R. Eaton, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9.

Bell has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Northwest on the 9th. As for V.R. Eaton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Keller Central on the 9th.
