Soccer Game Preview: Chelan vs. Omak

Chelan is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Omak a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Saturday. The Chelan Mountain Goats will be playing at home against the Omak Pioneers at 11:00 a.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Chelan's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Quincy on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Chelan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Quincy are ranked 90th).

Meanwhile, Omak didn't have quite enough to beat Okanogan on Monday and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Omak have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Rihanna Howard, who's now up to two this season.

Chelan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Omak, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6-2.
