Baseball Game Preview: Calvary Lutheran Lions vs. Jamestown

The Calvary Lutheran Lions will head out on the road to challenge Jamestown at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Lutheran is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, Calvary Lutheran came up short against Christian Fellowship and fell 7-3.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Jamestown's offense. They fell just short of Prairie Home by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The game marked the first time this year in which Jamestown was not able to get on the board.

Jamestown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Schoenthal, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Calvary Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Jamestown, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Calvary Lutheran came out on top in a nail-biter against Jamestown in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
