Baseball Game Preview: Frisco Raccoons vs. Wakeland Wolverines

For the second straight game, Frisco will face off against Wakeland. The Raccoons will be playing at home against the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Frisco has six straight victories, Wakeland has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Frisco is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Wakeland 14-6. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 4, 2023, but that streak is no more.

For Wakeland's part, they got a good showing from Will Vetkoetter, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Michael Mueller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Boyle, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Frisco's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Wakeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-12-2.
