            Volleyball Recap: Battle Mountain Longhorns vs. Pershing County Mustangs        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Yerington, Battle Mountain was happy to have turned things around  on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Pershing County Mustangs by a score of  3-1. This was a revenge game for the Longhorns: when they faced off against the Mustangs  back in September, they had to take a  3-2  loss.
 While Battle Mountain might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Pershing County scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 24-26, 25-18,  25-23.
 Eimilie Johnson paced Battle Mountain's offense, picking up ten kills. Johnson got some help from  Jazmin Johnson and her 33 assists. Eimilie was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with four aces.

Battle Mountain's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 18-10. As for Pershing County, they moved to 10-13 with that  defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
 Coincidentally, Battle Mountain and Pershing County will both be playing West Wendover the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Wolverines at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday, while the Longhorns will  host them  at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
