Baseball Recap: Taft School Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Taft School entered their tilt with Loomis Chaffee School on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Pelicans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-6 last Wednesday.

Noah Jettelson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Omar Minaya was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Taft School's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 5.25 runs across that stretch. As for Loomis Chaffee School, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Taft School will face off against rival Trinity-Pawling School at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Loomis Chaffee School is set to square off against their familiar foe Choate Rosemary Hall School at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
