Recap: Claremore Christian Warriors vs. Wright Christian Wildcats
The Claremore Christian Warriors posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over Wright Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Claremore Christian also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Claremore Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addey Abott led the charge by scoring 21 points along with two steals. Abott is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Blair, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Claremore Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Wright Christian, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-7.
Claremore Christian will take on Bradford Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wright Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Mingo Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
