            Hayden dropped their record down to 18-4 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They fell  8-3 to the Mogollon Mustangs. The Lobos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
As for Mogollon, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-3. That's two games straight that they have won by  exactly five  runs.
For Mogollon's part,  Hadley Porter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. Porter was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs and one  stolen base. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March.
 Porter wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Yoyo Suarez, who  went 1-for-4 with two  RBI and one  run. Another  was  Chancy Worsley, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hayden beat Mogollon by a score of  13-5 later that day.
