Softball Recap: Melba Mustangs vs. New Plymouth Pilgrims
After flying high against American Falls on Saturday, Melba came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell just short of the New Plymouth Pilgrims by a score of 8-7 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pilgrims this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 two weeks ago.
Elle Crimbchin and Analyse Durham did some serious damage despite the final result: Crimbchin went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Durham went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Melba has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for New Plymouth, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.
