Baseball Recap: Cheney Tech's Run of Six Straight Wins Now Over

Friday just wasn't the day for Cheney Tech's offense. They fell 3-0 to the East Hartford Hornets on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Chargers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Cheney Tech saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Fortunato, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

With the loss, Cheney Tech broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-6. As for East Hartford, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-11.

Looking ahead, Cheney Tech will head out on the road to square off against East Windsor at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Chargers are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for East Hartford, they will host Manchester at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
