 Del Campo was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They lost  12-2 to the Capital Christian Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Del Campo of the  14-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  on Tuesday.
 Del Campo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Issabella Sanchez, who  went 1-for-2 with two  RBI and a  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emily Taylor, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 On Capital Christian's side,  Ella Magda made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   six  hits. Magda has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Magda was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases.
 In other batting news,  Haylie Alkire and  Ayla Tuua did most of the damage at the plate:  Alkire  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3, while  Tuua  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Tuua is on a roll when it comes to  home runs, as she's  now  launched  at least one in the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Sophia Fountaine, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Del Campo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Capital Christian, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-2-1 record  this season.
 Del Campo will head out on the road to  square off against  Rio Americano at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Rio Americano has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.95  runs per game on average), something Del Campo will no doubt try to take advantage of.
