While Union's win against Uintah wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars won by a set and slipped past the Utes 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Utes: they've now won seven in a row.

Union took Uintah into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 25-23, 19-25, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Uintah lost on Thursday, don't look at Abbie Davis. Despite the final result, she had 54 assists and eight digs.

Union now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Uintah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

Union and Uintah will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Cougars see the court they'll take on Weber at 5:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Uintah, their break will end when they face Summit Academy at 6:30 p.m. on the 11th.
