After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Huntley, Boylan Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Crystal Lake Central Tigers by a score of 8-5. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Titans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Owen Scandroli looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Ryder McCauley and Henry Berg did most of the damage at the plate: McCauley scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Berg scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Boylan Catholic's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Crystal Lake Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boylan Catholic will head out to face off against Marian Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Crystal Lake Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Fremd at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Fremd's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Crystal Lake Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
