Football Game Preview: Central Panthers vs. Lebanon Warriors + How To Watch

Central hasn't had much luck against Lebanon recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will face off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Central's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past South Albany 21-0. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Perkins, who picked up 102 receiving yards and one touchdown. Perkins is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least 100 receiving yards the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Joe Mendazona also helped out with an impressive 110 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Lebanon faced Silverton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors secured a 34-28 W over the Foxes. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won six contests in a row.

Central now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lebanon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Central might still be hurting after the 42-21 loss they got from Lebanon when the teams last played back in October of 2023. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
