The Zionsville Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Fishers Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Zionsville's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Fishers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Zionsville took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Harrison, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Raiders 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted against the Raiders since May 24, 2016.
Not much got past Leah Helton, who gave up just five hits to keep Harrison off the board. Helton has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Zionsville's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hadley Bray, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. Those two doubles gave Bray a new career-high.
Fishers never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Mt. Vernon on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Marauders with a sharp 16-4 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.
Adrianne Cook was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Kendall Jordan was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Fishers kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Fishers is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Zionsville, their record now sits at 11-2.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Zionsville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .343. However, it's not like Fishers struggles in that department as they've averaged .366. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Zionsville couldn't quite get it done against Fishers in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
