Basketball Game Preview: Marshall Tigers vs. Waseca Bluejays

The Marshall Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Waseca Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Marshall is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Brandon Valley just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 65-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lynx.

Meanwhile, Waseca put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 64-44 margin over Blue Earth. The Bluejays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Waseca, they pushed their record up to 21-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Marshall ended up a good deal behind Waseca in their previous meeting on January 4th, losing 71-52. Can Marshall avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
