Softball Recap: Rolling Meadows Takes a Loss

Rolling Meadows's last matchup with Prospect could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Mustangs lost 9-3 to the Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 back in April.

Caylee Del Boccio was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Ferguson, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Rolling Meadows has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Prospect, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.

Rolling Meadows has already played their next contest, a 13-0 loss against Hersey on the 12th. As for Prospect, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-0 defeat against Lake Park on the 10th.
